Connecting with other moms and connecting moms to each other is a great passion of mine. I first came to A Mother’s Heart (we affectionately call it “Moms Rock” in my house) in January 2009. I could tell right away, this was my home. Real women dealing with real life. No pretense, just real, in a way that would make the Velveteen Rabbit proud. I have been married to Adam for 12 years and we have one son, Zachary, who is six. There’s more to me, just ask! I’d love to have coffee with you and learn your story, too. It takes a village….. to raise a MOM!  Where would I be without the devoted friendship of other women who have loved, supported, and mentored me through this adventure called “motherhood’?!  A Mother’s Heart has been the “village” for me since we moved to Illinois in 2010 – it’s the place where I can spend quality time with other women to honestly share in the everyday joys and challenges of life.  My husband, Artie, and I have been married for 19 years and have two sons, Jordan (12) and Harrison (10).  I love food (especially when someone else does the cooking and cleaning up afterward), reading kid’s books, and teaching Bible study.  I’ve been known to knit a decent long rectangle (aka a scarf), but aspire to greater knitting heights someday in the future ;).  And I, like Tiffany, am always up for meeting a new friend over a good cup of coffee!
